Softened

This collection explores the various qualities of softness that can be found within the hard material of ceramics. The work has a lightness to it that contrasts past editions that were dense with pattern, rigid lines, and contrasting color. ‘Softened’ dives into faded surface treatments, muted glazes on complex forms, and roundness as a way to counteract the hard nature of the material.
